Kevin and family left for Alabama on Saturday morning. They called me when they arrived home on
Saturday night. Glad they arrived safe
and sound.
I was supposed to go to Brian’s for the weekend, but since
Minnie and Frank (Tracy’s Aunt and Uncle) were staying there, and Frank was
admitted to the hospital due to some serious health problems it was decided I
would not go. It was probably a good
thing because The weather was supposed to get really bad. They were predicting snow; depending on who
you listened to it was between 1 and 10 inches.
We ended up getting about four.
Jana, David and I spent Saturday and Sunday watching
football. Also, Saturday evening we had
company. David’s sister and her husband
and mother-in-law, and his brother and his wife came for the evening. They were here to celebrate Christmas with
Jana and David. I know all of them and
it was great seeing them again. We had a
really nice time, plenty of food and laughter.
They also like football so, of course, we watched football.
Jana, David and I spent the next couple of days inside
because of the cold and snow. It was
below zero for a couple of days. I found
out it was down to eight degrees in Opelika, AL. I don’t know if that was a record or
not.
The reason I am in Ohio is because Jana is having eye
surgery. One eye was done this past
Wednesday and the other eye will be done in two weeks. She had her checkup today and everything is
just fine.
We didn’t do anything on Wednesday after her surgery except
come home and take it easy. However,
Thursday we went to visit mom (first time in a week because of the weather),
shopped at WalMart, lunch at Skyline, and shopped at Kroger. Today, Friday, we went to Half Price Books
(both sold and bought books), lunch at McDonald’s, shopped at SAM’S, visited
mom, then supper at Friday’s. Now we are
home and relaxing.
Tomorrow is laundry day.
