May Be My Last Blog

NOTE:  I was working on this blog when my computer crashed.  I am now up and running just fine except BlogSpot says my browser is not recognized.  This could be my last blog unless I find something else that will work.

Sunday was a beautiful day.  I didn’t get anything accomplished outside.  I was having a bad day for some reason.  So, I worked on a couple of projects inside and watched the race.  I can’t believe I have become such a NASCAR fan.  All those left turns can get exciting.  I went to church in the morning, then after the race I went to Kevin and Renea’s for supper. Stephanie and Ryan were there also.  Kevin grilled steaks, we had shrimp, french fries and Renea baked a pineapple upside down cake for desert.  Everything was great!  Didn’t do much when I came home.  Talked to Jana and watched some television.

Please keep Jana’s husband, David, in your prayers.  He is having some serious problems.  Jana has been told he has vascular dementia.  Apparently there are different types of dementia (this we did not know).  According to the nurses he has TIAs and this is what causes his problem with walking, etc.  I won’t go into all the details, I just ask that you keep him, and Jana, in your prayers.

Miss Penny is exhausted and resting now.  There was a fly in the house last night, and we didn’t see it until bedtime.  I think she spent most of the night looking for it.  She has knocked over all kinds of items trying to find that fly.  She even knocked down my kitchen curtain.  I am sure that wherever that fly is hiding it will never come back out.  I can’t find it either.

The rain is over for a couple of days now, and the weather is beautiful.  I plan to go outside later today (when the shade gets to the front yard) and pull some weeds.  Also, the grass needs mowing again.  I will probably do that either Friday or Saturday.  The lantanas are getting new growth.  I really like when they get their flowers and the butterflies visit.

Today I finished a few of my projects indoors, then I went outside and started weeding the east rock garden.  Finished about a third of it.  Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty so I am hoping to finish a few more projects outside.

I have finished weeding the east rock garden.  YEA!!!

Hi Marilyn,
Sure hope this isn't the last blog, and you can get it up and going again. I read about David's death yesterday, at St. Al's. Please accept my condolences. Jana has many good memories to fall back on at this sad time.
Hope your new washer and dryer are working out their strange noises, and that Miss Penny is getting used to them. Our purple martin house has blackbirds in it, and our bluebird house has some common birds in it that
Bob did not have the heart to kick out, after he saw the eggs in the nest. Oh, well, maybe next year the right birds will find the right houses!
Take care.
Love, Arlene and Bob
