These next pictures are of the first embroidery project I did. They are tea towels and are hanging on a rod above my kitchen stove.
I have also been embroidering bait towels for Kevin which he gives with each fishing rod he sells. The colors match the rods. This picture is just one of many. I put a buttonhole in the corner so he can add a clip so they can be hooked onto a belt loop.
I have also been making Christmas presents so I won’t be showing those.
However, I have started working on tea towels to hang above the stove both for fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I will take a few pictures and post those. I created a new wall hanging for autumn and new placemats.
As a side note Penny turned five years old this July. She is still my buddy. She follows me everywhere around the house. If I leave she waits by the door and greets me when I return. She is definitely a sweetheart. If I sit in my recliner to put ice on my knee or watch television she sits on my lap. These two pictures are of her sitting on my lap.
I try to go to the She Shack every afternoon for a couple of hours. My stamina is not quite what it used to be, and I have to limit myself with what I do. I am taking a few days to clean and rearrange things in the She Shack. This is a big job because most of the items are heavy. If I ever get caught up I will take a few pictures. Mornings I usually do my errands and chores in the house.
If it ever cools down I will weed my azaleas. And, they are a mess. They are the only plants we didn't move because I wanted them to stay where they are. We also need to get a load of dirt to finish the front of the patio. Kevin plans on doing that. We also have a load of "stuff" to take to the dump.
Meanwhile I have been cleaning out draws and cupboards. I have three bags of items to take to Goodwill so far.

The patio looks great! You really do great embroidery! My mom used to embroider too. Yours really looks nice. Penny is so pretty. Happy Birthday Penny!
I had my first ever colonoscopy today...glad that's over...don't ever want to do it again. Since January I've been having some symptoms that I believe (Dr Ginger) to be Irritable Bowel Syndrome. But since my mom had colon cancer, it's been on my mind a lot lately. So I bit the bullet and went for the colonoscopy. The good news is I had no polyps and everything looked great! Yay! Because Mom had colon cancer he wants me to come back in 5 years for another look. I'll be 78 then...don't think that's going to happen. Just very happy today!
Your patio looks terrific! Really spruces up the front. I can see you really are enjoying your embroidery machine. You and it are turning out great stuff.
Happy Birthday to Penny. 5 years already! It is amazing how time passes.
Take care of yourself and don’t overdo it. I am home until 11/2 until we leave with Ted’s whole family for Ireland. Bug Ted will go to San Antonio the 3rd week in October to shoot in Nationals. His age changes his group. I told him soon he will be in a class all by himself! I am staying home to get ready for our trip.
You know when you constantly start every story with “we were gone” and every phone conversation starts with .”where are you?” that maybe being home becomes your vacation!
Say hi to Kevin’s family.
It is so good to hear from you again! I love the stone on your patio. And your towels are a work of art! So glad you are back to work again. Maybe by this time, the patio is done. Our weather is still hot up here. Looking forward to some cool days soon. Keep on going, just don't overdo it! Take care.
Love, Arlene and Bob
