Miss
Penny is exhausted. She spent part of
the day on guard duty while I did my shopping.
After lunch she has been helping me with my computer work, and watching
Kevin mow the grass.
This
morning I went to Barnes & Noble.
Bought one book and I am having one sent. For some reason that don’t carry this one
author that I like so they mail it to me.
Since I am a member the mailing is free.
From there I went to Joann’s Fabric.
I bought my square rulers that I need for my t-shirt quilting
class. They want us to bring the 15 inch
square and the 10 inch square. I had
bought a lot of quilting rulers and templates, but I didn’t have any of the
square ones. So, I bought one of every
size. 😊 I also bought the stabilizer for the t-shirts
and the fabric for the inner border. I
think I have everything now. I bought
t-shirts. I needed twelve. Seven have arrived. The other five have been sent and should be
here sometime next week. By the time I
get finished this quilt is going to cost me a fortune! I am finding out that quilting is expensive.
I
have several other projects to finish that I have been working on. I have also been experimenting with my sewing
machine. It has the capability of doing
quite a few decorative stitches. I
really like some of them.
I
have quite a few Christmas projects to complete. They are all embroidery. Some are gifts. I have enough to do to keep me busy for quite
a while.
Yesterday
I did some research regarding a sewing table.
I just realized I don’t have anything to put my sewing machine on when I
move into my shed. I found quite a few
that I like. Now I have to make a
decision. I also ordered a few items
from Missouri Quilt.
Filled
the hummingbird feeder. I now have four
hummingbirds coming to eat.
Went
to Mass. We now have a new priest. He is no longer listed as temporary. I really like him. I like how in his sermon he explains the
gospel and adds some stories so you can understand it. On the way home I stopped and bought pizza. I
decided to try Little Caesars. I didn’t
care for it, so I will not buy it again.
Watched some television and called it a day.
I
had my Sunday “visit” with Brian this morning.
He calls me every Sunday morning.
I always enjoy our talks. He
calls me other times also, but Sunday morning is special. Kevin came over this morning and we had a
nice visit. I will be going to Kevin and
Renea’s for Sunday dinner later today.
Had
a really good supper at Kevin and Renea’s.
Kevin fixed chicken on the grill, and, of course, it was the best
chicken ever 😊. We had tater
tots, sweet potato fries, cole slaw and macaroni and cheese with brownies for
desert. Both Ryan and Stephanie were
there for supper. Stephanie brought her
boyfriend’s dog. He is an Australian Shepherd named Kodiak. Neat dog.
The mother came out in Lola and she was doing her best to protect Copper
and Shelby. The dogs were just playing,
but Lola did a lot of barking at them and trying to separate them. She just didn’t understand. So, Kevin and I both gave her a lot of
loving.
Kevin
and Renea offered me the use of the golf cart.
I said yes and thank you. Kevin
charged the batteries and delivered it to me along with the key on Monday. Yea! I will be using it to take the garbage
up to the garbage cans and to get my mail.
My legs don’t work too well, and I still have trouble with my
balance. This is going to work just fine!

Love your golf cart!!! Your Sunday mornings with Brian remind me of my son Paul who is in Florida. We talk and text all week long, but usually on Sunday mornings after he knows we're home from Mass he'll simply text "Jesus rocks!" I respond "Amen!"
